Recently, a viral clip on Twitter warmed the hearts of dog lovers on the micro-blogging site. While it is not uncommon to see clips of puppies and cute dogs online, what made this particular video stand out was the setting in which it took place.

The 18-second clip, which happened to take place in a Jiu-Jitsu tournament, saw a dog rush into the mats as the grapplers competed. The original clip shared by ‘Sportscenter’ claimed that the puppy was hilariously trying to protect its owner. Former UFC champ Charles Oliveira too retweeted the clip, much to the amazement of his followers. His fans also couldn’t help but react to the sweet moment that displayed the love shared between a pet and its owner.

The 33-year-old, considered one of the best grapplers in the sport, retweeted the wholesome clip with a Portuguese caption which, when translated to English, read, Doggo on your tl”.

His ardent followers and fans too joined in as they enjoyed the brief yet extremely cute clip.

A fan asked Oliveria if he had a dog of his own.

“charles do you have a doggo? if you have show us”

Another individual thanked the fighter for sharing it on his timeline, “thanks charles for this sweetie on tl”.

“Out of nowhere a doggie” tweeted someone expressing their delight in seeing the dog.

One avid grappler pointed out the puppy’s position which was quite similar to a north-south position in BJJ.

“Doguinho immediately put a north-south in the comedy”

Another fan joked that it was the 100 kg division that the dog was competing in.

“Arrived at the position of 100 kg lol,” he wrote.

Definitely, quite a wholesome Twitter thread that fans got to see here, and all due to a cute dog that tried protecting its human.
