Despite his recent troubles with USADA, Conor McGregor is confident in his potential future bout with Michael Chandler. The 34-year-old recently took to Twitter to make an outlandish claim about the fight. However, not all fans agreed with McGregor’s claim.
Conor McGregor kick-started his UFC return journey with the filming of season 31 of ‘The Ultimate Fighter.’ The Irishman had been out of action since his leg injury in 2021 at UFC 264. The former UFC two-division champion coached on the show against former Bellator champion Michael Chandler. As tradition goes, the TUF coaches will battle it out at a date not too soon after the show finishes airing.
With the show set to begin airing on May 30, many fans and pros expect McGregor and Chandler to fight in one of the following months. However, McGregor’s recent situation with USADA is keeping all parties from reaching a concrete decision regarding the date for the bout.

Several fans also gave their thoughts on McGregor’s claim. While most agreed to the Irishman, there were a few that he did not convince as well.
Honestly, this fight isn't all that appealing. Nate vs. Conner III would be the ideal fight. This one doesn't have the allure and appeal to draw the masses.

McGregor went off at USADA in a series of deleted tweets about his current situation. He wrote, “This is my issue. I’ve not lied once. Nor have I tested positive. Ever. I have over 70 clean tests under this program, yet they are constantly coming out after I speak in a manner that makes it seem I am lying. It’s ridiculous. F**k used. You are in The Bin.”
With the USADA issue unresolved, McGregor’s return is yet to have a concrete date and confirmation.
