It seems like UFC star Bryce Mitchell is just a magnet for injuries. The featherweight contender has yet again managed to land himself in a spine-chilling injury. Not too long ago, he infamously tangled his own scrotum in a power drill accident. Now, he’s found himself pulling a massive splinter out of the middle of his hand. Although this recent injury is not nearly as serious as his previous mishap, it’s still quite gnarly.
But it seems that ‘Thug Nasty’ can’t keep his body out of harm’s way. And the news of this injury has elicited quite a number of reactions from the UFC community. Fans are already speculating that this injury could work as an ‘excuse’ in case his next fight ends up with the same fate as his last one against Ilia Topuria, which resulted in his first professional MMA loss.

Should have left it in, at least that way if he gets ragdolled again he can use it for Exhibit A of why he lost.

It certainly seems like ‘Thug Nasty’ indeed has quite the luck when it comes to injuries.
However, his next fight is around the corner and he will certainly be looking to come back strong after his last loss against Ilia Topuria.
Who is Bryce Mitchell fighting next?
Bryce Mitchell has officially locked in his next fight against Jonathan Pearce for a highly anticipated UFC event on May 6 at UFC 288. Pearce has only suffered a setback in his promotional debut against Joe Lauzon and currently holds a five-fight winning streak out of his six fights in the UFC. On the flip side, Mitchell was undefeated until his most recent fight, with a second-round submission to Ilia Topuria at UFC 282 breaking the streak.
