Does Joe Rogan's stance on Trump make you respect him more or less?

Joe Rogan has the world’s biggest audio platform at his disposal – his podcast, the ‘Joe Rogan Experience’. With that, he has a substantial influence over netizens since almost every JRE episode averages millions of viewers. Also, Rogan has never refrained from talking about politics, including some words for former president Donald Trump.

Calling Donald Trump one of the most polarizing figures in world politics would be an understatement. He’s always in the news with his fair share of supporters and critics, but Joe Rogan has never taken any sides when he talked about the former president. However, the 57-year-old did share some pleasant words for Trump in the recent past.

The ongoing war in Ukraine has shaken the world as thousands of people have lost their lives in the clash of military forces. Joe Rogan discussed how Donald Trump showed real character with his statement and call for action during an interview with CNN last year. The fact that Trump did not take any sides and only put forward the wish to see people healthy and safe had the JRE host admiring the 45th US President.

“You see that interview with him, where he said ‘I will end the Ukraine war in a day?’ And he said [when asked], ‘Do you not want Ukraine to win?’ He goes, ‘No, I want people to stop dying,” Joe Rogan stated on an episode of his podcast. “It’s perfect.” The 57-year-old still backed the former president when it came to voting between him and Joe Biden.

“I’d vote for Trump before I’d vote for Biden… The thing with Biden is, he’s gone. You know he’s gone,” Joe Rogan stated on a JRE episode earlier this year. In addition to that, Rogan even spoke about the iconic moment when Trump waved his fist in the air following the failed assassination attempt, with the former president leaving him in awe.

However, there was still one instance when some of the longtime UFC commentator’s statements made Donald Trump call him out.

Rogan’s controversial comments against Trump, the former president’s reply

Robert F. Kennedy Jr., also known as RFK Jr., has been one of those candidates in the elections upon whom the people don’t have much expectations. However, Joe Rogan appeared to be beating the drum of the 70-year-old on his podcast when he claimed that he preferred him to be the president. “He’s the only one that makes sense to me,” Rogan told Lex Fridman“He doesn’t attack people. He attacks actions and ideas but he’s much more reasonable and intelligent.”

Well, those words found a response from Donald Trump, who wasn’t too pleased with Joe Rogan’s choice for president. He warned that the 57-year-old could be walking into an arena with jeers from the crowd at a UFC event due to his support for RFK Jr. “It will be interesting to see how loudly Joe Rogan gets BOOED the next time he enters the UFC Ring,” Trump wrote on social media. Rogan would later make a statement on social media as well, clarifying the fact that his words were misinterpreted.

“This is me saying that I like RFKjr as a person, and I really appreciate the way he discusses things with civility and intelligence. I think we could use more of that in this world,” stated Joe Rogan. This seems to be the only problem that he has ever had with Donald Trump, but still, the 45th president never entered the studio of the JRE podcast even when he’s one of the most talked about figures in media.

Why has Donald Trump never been on the ‘Joe Rogan Experience’ podcast?

For some reason, Joe Rogan has never entertained the idea of having Donald Trump on his multi-million-dollar podcast. “I am not a Trump supporter in any way, shape or form. I have had the opportunity to have him [Trump] on my show more than once. I have said no every time,” Rogan told Lex Fridman. As we’ve already mentioned, the JRE host isn’t a Trump supporter, which is why he refrains from offering a platform like his big-time podcast to the ex-president to further his agendas. “I don’t want to help him. I’m not interested in helping him.”

However, Donald Trump isn’t looking to let Joe Rogan off the hook. Reports from a year ago state that the former president is actively looking to land a spot on the JRE podcast. One of his former advisers said, “Perhaps the only person bigger in the new media world than Joe Rogan is Donald Trump, and the whole idea that the two of them would be together at long last – it would be an incredible audience.” Do you agree with this statement?

It remains to be seen if the polarizing former president ever makes his way for a meaningful conversation with Joe Rogan. Let us know what you think in the comments down below.
