In recent times, Conor McGregor‘s comeback has become the biggest topic of discussion in the MMA community. From a tussle with USADA to a possible return to boxing, every day something new is in the air about the return of the Irishman. After sustaining a gruesome leg injury, the former UFC two-division champion’s career was left in a cliffhanger. But since then, the fighter has made an insane recovery, something which can be seen with his recent transformation. But despite this, anything about his return seems to be speculation at best.

However, it isn’t just all about McGregor himself. His long-teased rival, Michael Chandler, seems to be equally involved in the talks. Currently coaching alongside “Notorious” on The Ultimate Fighter, the former Bellator lightweight champion is expected to face him after the show’s finale. But unlike the show’s tradition, many are speculating that might not be the case this time. Regardless, many in the MMA community have come forward with their suggestions for the former wrestler. The most recent of them being UFC veteran and Khabib Nurmagomedov‘s former team mate Daniel Cormier.

For those who don’t know, Conor McGregor is the biggest draw in the UFC. He has been a part of four out of the five highest-selling PPVs in the promotion’s history. His bout with Khabib Nurmagomedov alone generated millions of dollars in sales, the highest in the history of the UFC and MMA. No doubt, a paycheck like that can be a milestone for Michael Chandler‘s career. Having been part of a high-level dispute with Jones, Cormier understands it well. After all, his last rematch with ‘Bones’ had 860,000 PPV buys, just a bit short of the million-dollar mark.
