Multiple personalities condemned Covington’s actions, including fighters as well as fans, but ‘Chaos’ was firm in his stance and stated that he had no regret about his comments. Former UFC fighter Matt Brown in his statement claims that Covington’s actions will haunt him and the fans might not be willing to watch him fight anymore. “I think I speak for everyone – we don’t care if we see him again or not. I don’t think there are a lot of people excited to see him fight again. Just disgusting… “ said Brown.
Brown expressed a strong desire for Covington to confront Jorge Masvidal in a run-down street, believing that such a confrontation would set him right. “If somehow because you talked about [Leon Edwards’] murdered dad, if that won you the fight, is that something to be proud of?… Hopefully, he sees [Jorge] Masvidal in the street again in a dark alley, and they can street fight it out. I’ve got a feeling Masvidal will put a pretty good whooping on him in the street. Hopefully, that ends him,” said Brown.
