With Dan Hooker out of the match for good, Dana White‘s UFC Austin card looked jeopardized. However, Jalin Turner stepped up to be Bobby Green’s new opponent. The card has been rescued from being canceled, but does everyone agree with the decision?
The Austin card looked like it was in grave trouble after Hooker revealed that his injury had still not healed. On short notice, Turner accepted the fight. The question that haunts fans is this, will Turner make weight with weeks to go? Here’s what this star had to say.
Making weight isn’t as easy as baking a pie, and baking a pie is really tough

Jalin Turner previously fought Hooker and lost. Now, he can win against Green on the 2nd of December. The only hitch here is if the fight happens at 155 pounds, perhaps it might be difficult for him to lose weight. Or at least, so speculated this fan. And they found an odd supporter for their statement.

“Jalin ain’t making weight if that’s at 155” Wrote the fan only for lightweight star Terrance McKinney to respond to him with “facts guy is not making weight should been me vs Bobby both on a 2 fight when streaks fan would of loved it”. Perhaps there is some truth to what McKinney is saying.
The fighter is on a 2-win streak like he mentioned in the comment. He’s coming off a win over Brendon Marotte which he won in the first twenty seconds of the very first round. Before that he defeated Mike Breeden. Again, in the first round before the clock hit its 2-minute mark.
His knockout power is rather huge. And so maybe he could prove a worthy adversary to Bobby Green but Turner is also no rookie who has 13 wins and seven losses in his career. But perhaps, the best one who could challenge Green was none other than the fighter who pulled out.

What happened to Dan Hooker?
After his last fight against Turner which he won via decision, Hooker revealed that he’d sustained injuries. A broken wrist and damaged orbital bone. He tried to ensure that he would come back soon and five months later, he was supposed to fight Green. But alas, tragedy strikes harder than any kick.

“I’ve blocked a thousand kicks in the last couple of months, and this one hit on the right spot.” He would reveal in a conversation. Hooker has injured the same exact spot yet again. It’s rendered his hand too damaged to be used in a fight. With that hanging in a balance, when do you think the fighter will make a comeback? Do you think ‘Hangman’ would have won had he come back this fast? Let us know in the comments.
