Former UFC welterweight fighter Diego Sanchez took to social media and responded to the rumors surrounding an upcoming match. ‘The Nightmare’ may face-off against Kevin Lee in Khabib Nurmagomedov’s Eagle FC promotion. Lee is a recent signing to Nurmagomedov’s organization, and he’s keen to make his debut in short order.

Diego Sanchez has clearly been keeping his ear to the street and has chimed in on possibly facing Kevin Lee. Sanchez tagged Khabib Nurmagomedov and his manager, Ali Abdelaziz, and was clearly interested in facing Lee. Not to mention, he made sure to voice his love for Russian fans who are certainly going to support Nurmagomedov in his venture.

‘The Motown Phenom’ has been busy doing the media rounds, and he talked about potentially facing Sanchez in his debut. The former UFC interim title contender said, “They spoke to me about Diego Sanchez, so I might go ahead and do that one… The first Ultimate Fighter is known for putting on great fights, he’s going to go out there swinging and you know you’ll get a great fight out of him.”

Kevin Lee wants to leave Sanchez in a bloody mess

Lee is known to speak his mind, and he talked about wanting to put on a blood and guts display against Sanchez. It seems as though he is looking to make a statement after he was surprisingly released from the UFC. The news of his departure came as a surprise to himself and everyone else, and he’ll want to right that wrong.

“I’m going to kick his head into the third row,” Lee explained. “Eagle FC has this beautiful white hexagon, so I’ll bloody that up, write my name on it and then put him out of his misery.”

Additionally, Kevin Lee has a lot on the line as he stands to lead the 165-pound weight class at Eagle FC. As a loss in his debut would derail all those plans, he’ll have to make sure he comes with an intent to dominate. Kevin Lee has talked about being the best 165-pounder in the world and the time to test that narrative has finally arrived.
