The use of steroids in MMA is one of the most controversial topics in the sport. The fans are always in a debate over the fighter’s use of steroids and other performance-enhancing drugs. Moreover, MMA promotions are increasingly becoming stringent regarding the use of steroids by fighters. The USADA is also keeping a check on such uses in combat sports.
UFC is one of the strictest promotions in MMA to have their fighters checked over such issues. However, one former UFC and Pride FC fighter has shared a controversial contract with his fans. The fighter showed a Pride FC contract that revealed the drug testing policy that will raise some eyebrows if implemented today.
Fans react to the old Pride FC contract

Enson Inoue took to Twitter to share an old fight contract with the fans. The ex-Pride FC fighter wrote, “Check out my old Pride fight contract. Can you believe it actually said.”
One fan asked Inoue whether he was tested for the substances. Inoue replied affirmatively. However, the former fighter also stated that he wasn’t tested for steroids.

Moreover, one fan also stated that fighters needed to take steroids for providing ‘epic fights.’

Furthermore, one fan said that MMA fights are more fun with fighters taking steroids. However, he also stated that the use of steroids should be banned.
I say MMA is more fun to watch when fighters use steroids and enhance their performance.

Moreover, one fan explained the positive effects of the rule of no steroid testing. He also added that the clause in the contract sounds ‘great’. Twitter had one of these positive reactions from fans.
That'd be a great clause today, better fights from fighters with better endurance and more energy, shorter comebacks from injury etc… sounds great.

Moreover, Twitter replies saw one fan alleging bold statements for the Pride fighters.

Twitter saw mixed reactions coming from the fans. Some were in support of the rule while some liked the way things are. We wonder what the current fighters would think of such an absence of rule.

Some current UFC fighters might like the Pride FC rule
Some current UFC fighters might like the absence of steroid testing. After Conor McGregor‘s injury, it was alleged that the ‘Irishman’ was using steroids for healing. Also owing to his physique, the fans and some UFC personalities were convinced of the use.
However, in the Joe Rogan Experience, the UFC commentator justified why McGregor could use additional supplements owing to his injury. This came after Rogan created a controversy regarding Conor McGregor’s alleged use of steroids.
