The main event of the UFC Fight Night 221 indeed sent the fans through a roller coaster ride. Although many stood and cheered for Petr Yan, many others supported Merab Dvalishvili. However, the Ukrainian fighter won the crowd’s heart as he secured a decisive victory against ‘No Mercy’. Without a doubt, ‘The Machine’ took to social media in order to celebrate his victory.

Recently, he shared a video clip from the fight on Instagram and seemingly teased his former opponent. The video apparently showed Dvalishvili spanking Yan. Unquestionably, the social media post garnered a lot of attention from mixed martial arts fans. While many of the UFC faithful found it hilarious, many others simply asked the fighter to stop sharing such posts. Nevertheless, the fans were also quick to connect the dots to the fighter’s trip to Jamaica.

After the victory against Yan, Dvalishvili moved closer to the bantamweight title shot. However, the fighter from Ukraine refused to fight the ‘Funk Master’. Although he understood the reason why he was required to go against Sterling, he prioritized his friendship with ‘Funk Master’ over the title shot.
