Hair transplants are common these days. Well, it’s quite important to some. Although, Paulo Costa finds himself in a muddle with the doubts looming over his bout against Sean Strickland at UFC 302, his hairline’s worth a million bucks. The Costa-Strickland fight appears to be in danger of being canceled because Costa did not sign the contract.

The Brazilian is known to pull out of fights at the last moment in his career. With the UFC 302 fight card in doubt, Costa’s transformation from bald to shiny hair demands attention. So where did he get his hair transplant done?

Notably, Costa underwent a hair transplant in June 2021. Dr. Pablo Matos Milhomem, skin and health care physician posted various photographs of the UFC middleweight fighter getting the procedure done. There comes a video where the doctor explains the procedure done to Costa’s receding hairline.

After that, three pictures highlighted the procedure and the aftermath of the transplant. Although it looked painful, the results were fine. In an interview with ESPN MMA with Brett Okamoto, Paulo Costa discussed the details of the hair transplant before his match against Marvin Vettori in October 2021.

He stated, “I made a transplant hair, you know. We removed some part of new hair, here, back. And put some hair where you need to grow. Three days and I was back on the walk. But I hope when I fight Marvin Vettori, my hair will be better, you know, beautiful, you know.”

Although his hair stole the spotlight, Vettori won the contest. Yet, some fighters took sly digs at him on social media.

Fighters reacted to the Brazilian UFC star’s hair transformation

After his hair transformation, some UFC fighters took to social media to see the funny side of things. Kevin Holland poked fun on Instagram, stating, “WTF, what in the world is going on here? He blocked me or I would tag him.” 

Similarly, Derek Brunson also got into the act and took a sly dig at Paulo Costa by stating, “World, meet Baldo Costa. I got you bro, mi costa su costa.” 

Another fan pointed out the two doctors behind Costa, comparing their hairstyle to the Brazilian fighter.

Another fan pointed out how Paulo Costa wanted a bigger cheque by probably referencing it to this hair transplant costs.

One fan pointed out at the man in the back and doubted whether the hair transplant would work.

Costa though will hope that his match against Strickland happens according to schedule. With hair transplants common these days, he becomes one of many to go for better hair!
