While the UFC and McGregor have denied the allegations, now, his opponent to be too has spoken up about it. In a recent conversation,

Michael Chandler opened up about everything he knew about the whole ordeal. So let’s dive right in!

Michael Chandler provides clarity on Conor McGregor and USADA

Michael Chandler recently appeared for an interview with ESPN. Here, he talked about a bunch of things leading up to the potential McGregor fight. However, an interesting aspect had to do with McGregor and the USADA. Here are Chandler’s thoughts about the same.

“Every conversation that I ever had with UFC it was always adamant, hey people are talking about exemptions and they’re talking about two clean tests and they’re talking about this,” he said. “Conor McGregor has to be in the USADA drug testing pool for six months everybody was adamant about that. I never heard any other whisperings about any kind of exemption or any of that kind of stuff.”

Chandler was highly confident about there being no exemptions for McGregor. He had to go through all the USADA protocols like every other fighter has to normally. Perhaps everyone became a little confused when McGregor promised a return in 2023.

But it never really came through. Earlier this year, both McGregor and USADA confirmed the presence of his samples in the testing pool. Now, he is expected to make his grand comeback against Chandler at UFC 300 in April 2024. Do you think it’ll come through? And more importantly, if it does, will he be fighting Chandler?

On another occasion, Chandler spoke about the mind games Conor McGregor and his team like to play on their opponents. In an interview, he openly called their tactics out and also ensured his fans that he was immune to all of it. He certainly has a game plan for whether or not the fight happens.

“I’ve seen Conor talk about other opponents, I’ve seen Conor talk about different dates, I’ve seen Conor you know completely dismiss me and act like the fight with me is not happening. These are all ways that these guys try to get inside of people’s heads. Unluckily for them your boy’s bulletproof.” He said in a conversation with Ariel Helwani of The MMA Hour Show.
