Khamzat Chimaev was about to fight one of the most important fights of his career against a former middleweight champ, Robert Whittaker at UFC Saudi Arabia. Yet his unremitting health woes didn’t work in his favor and had to pull out of the clash. If Chimaev had fought and won this bout, he would have been propelled to being a title contender for the next. Regardless, Chimaev might have missed his middleweight championship train by just a few inches but according to Bo Nickal, Chimaev just has to not get sick always.
Nickal was one of the fighters who was offered the replacement fight after Chimaev pulled out, however, he couldn’t agree on the match because he was in the mountains of Montana hiking and didn’t have any cell service. Once he was connected to the UFC team, it was already too late. Well, Nickal has not only missed the train to fight Whittaker but has taken a strong stand against Chimeav who is suffering from illness.

While in conversation on Nickal’s and Dimes podcast, he said, “Yeah, that dude is losing his aura a bit… He just needs to keep freaking winning and not doing this crap… Who’s his last fight? It wasn’t Kevin Holland, was it? [Kamaru] Usman, yeah, he fought Usman.
He further added, “[He hasn’t fought a real 185er] ever… He could [do something about his illness]. That’s what I do. Don’t get sick. I’m not in a hospital so I can [wrestle], yeah, technically.” Nickal and Chimaev had several back-and-forths in the past but they never commented on each other using such harsh words, that is of course till now. Well, that was also not the last of it. Bo Nickal further went on to allege that he had heard rumors that Chimaev was partying rather than being in recovery.
Nickal’s statement seems to have found its way to the fans, who appear to be a bit judgemental of his obnoxious statements.
Fans roast Bo Nickal for his take on Khamzat Chimaev’s pullout
Khamzat Chimaev’s health has been a dilemma for him since Covid-19. It was such a hassle for him that he was considering retirement but Dana White plunged into action and pulled him in. ‘Borz’ team has been active on social media and has promised his return. Fans are waiting to witness the classic Chimaev back in action, however, they are not amused by what Nickal had to say about ‘Borz.’
A social media user added that Nickal struggles against Cody Brundage. Well, the duo clashed at the UFC 300 and Nickal won by way of a rear naked choke in the second round. Brundage indeed gave Nickal a hard time in the initial rounds but Nickal ultimately emerged victorious extending his MMA record to 6-0.

It’s true that Khamzat Chimaev has pulled out of many fights such as Leon Edwards and Robert Whittaker but his health was not in good shape back then. While on the other hand, Nickal has yet to fight let alone compete against any top contenders.
“Bo has no place to talk about khamzat at this point. Big future star probably but hasn’t beaten a fighter of note so far”
