Former US president Donald Trump’s indictment came as shocking news for supporters of the American business tycoon and politician. The 76-year-old became the first former US president to be charged after a Manhattan grand jury voted to indict him concerning the hush money controversy surrounding Stormy Daniels.
Since this news has pretty much taken every media outlet by storm, it was not surprising that UFC commentator Joe Rogan, too, had addressed the subject a few days back on an episode of JRE. Speaking to UFC fighter Jorge Masvidal, the veteran analyst, despite his earlier claims of not wanting the former US president on his show, expressed his honest views on the entire scenario.

Joe Rogan and Jorge Masvidal dive deep into the Donald Trump controversy
Discussing the political landscape of the country, Rogan happened to stumble on the topic of Trump’s latest hush money scandal. The former President, as per reports, had allegedly paid $130,000 to Stormy Daniels via his former lawyer in a bid to keep her silent about their past encounters. This disclosure was first made by Daniels; who mentioned that it took place in 2016 before Trump won the 2016 US presidential elections.
Rogan’s interesting take on the subject laid out the rest of the conversation; as he claimed that a deal like that shouldn’t be considered necessarily bad.
“They’re talking about arresting him for paying a girl to stop talking about them having sex. I thought that was a good deal. That’s a good deal.” He then went on to point out how another former President too was involved in a similar scandal. “Didn’t Clinton do that?” Rogan asked.

Masvidal, an ardent Trump supporter, too agreed with Rogan. After pointing out Clinton’s previous controversies, he claimed that the 76-year-old Trump was being singled out by his political opponents.
“One dude that’s fighting for us is actually for the people. They wanna crucify him,” he stated.
Rogan, too, shared similar sentiments. Claiming that Trump’s rivals would go to any measure to stop him from running for President again, he expressed outrightly how they didn’t want to see the businessman back in the White House again. “They just don’t want him president again…” he claimed.
Rogan shares his views on President Joe Biden
Part of his assessment came from the fact that Trump would be running against current president Joe Biden, who Rogan felt was just a “compromised” personality at this point. Referring to Biden’s past, he said, “He was never an impressive guy when he was young. He’s full blustered. he lied a lot about his record, his education background. He lied about a bunch of things.”

Some might believe it to be a bit too harsh from Rogan’s end. But it displays his belief in the current President and arguably the beliefs of many other Americans as well.
