The UFC 305 press conference witnessed some of the biggest updates ever. And one of them was the talk about UFC Apex. It is indeed the arena that lets the mixed martial artists who are pretty new to the MMA promotion showcase their prowess and climb up the ladder to ranked fights. Needless to say, every single fighter in the UFC had to go through the process of making his moves known at the UFC Fight Nights.

During the pre-fight press conference for UFC 305, one of the reporters pointed out that the UFC Apex, Nevada, was under construction and would be closed for a long time. This intrigued the entire fighting community and made them wonder about the future of UFC Apex. After all, it was a vital part of the Ultimate Fighting Championship.
White was quick to respond and affirmed that the arena was indeed getting a renovation. But his words assured that the suspense around the Fight Nights remained tall. The UFC head honcho said, “We’re doing a $20 million expansion here. We’re gonna invest a lot of money in this place. And we got some pretty big announcements coming up in the next 6 months. So, it’ll all sort of make sense on what we’re doing and why we’re doing it.”
Another reporter later wanted to know about the locations of the UFC Fight Nights when the arena in Nevada would remain closed. The UFC CEO was in for traveling to various places for the fights, although he was pretty doubtful about it.

He replied, “I don’t know if it’s true that it’s closing. I don’t know how that’s gonna work out. But, yeah, I don’t know enough about that. Will there be a new arena for the UFC Fight Nights?
On the 2nd date of August, White was interviewed by ‘TNT Sports’. In the presser, he revealed a couple of plans for UFC Apex. He confirmed that right after the completion of Dana White’s Contender Series season 8 and a couple of other Fight Nights in November, the arena will close till the middle of 2025. But why is this decision to change in arena made by the MMA promotion?

The UFC head honcho probably answered every professional and fan’s dream—the Apex is going to expand. White said, “We’re actually expanding the Apex. It’s gonna be bigger and better.” For this bigger and better project, a budget of over $20 million has been set and UFC Apex will now have better hospitality, more bathrooms, and more seats for the fight fans.
This must have come as a relief for the fans who complained about the Apex and its small size. The arena is likely to accommodate more than a thousand fans as they enjoy the battle of the greats.
