Gordon Ryan has been attracting heat from the fans for some time now. Even when the grappling ‘King’ does something good, the fans don’t step back from sending insults at him. After the fighter announced his return to the grappling realm, people sent heat toward him despite a good deed. Recently, the Jiu-Jitsu legend visited an 11-year-old kid named Cadell, who was having some medical issues and was in a hospital for a few months now.

He shared a couple of pictures on Instagram that showed him along with Cadell’s family in the hospital. In the caption, the BJJ fighter revealed that the young man claimed he would submit the former ADCC champ. The 28-year-old wrote, “he told me that he almost gave me a note upon arrival saying how’d he submit me when he’s older, so I made him to promise to not beat me up when he’s 25 and I’m in my 40s 😂.”

However, many fans had their eyes on the latter part of the caption, “There are many draw backs of being famous, but spending time with this young man and his family certainly wasn’t one of them. I’m happy to be in this position.”

Most of the fans pointed out that the fighter was simply following what his rival, Craig Jones, did. Jones recently joined hands with BBC to raise funds for children in need. One of the comments read, “Look everyone, I do things for other people… I’m just like @craigjonesbjj”, while another went like, “This n***a tryna be craig so bad rn.”

Many of the fans made fun of the words Ryan chose to use in the captions, targeting his fame. One of the fans commented that no one would recognize the fighter at Walmart. He wrote, “”many drawbacks of being famous”😂😂😂😂 walk around Walmart no one would know you.” Another fan claimed that no one would recognize him in the entire country, quoting, ““Famous” 😂 bro you could walk 99.9 % of every street in America and no one would recognize you.”

Furthermore, one fan pointed out that Ryan was famous only in the BJJ community. The comment read, “Famous😂😂😂😂 maybe in a very small Jiu Jitsu community…. You’ve done good making money for yourself and being known in the Jiu jitsu community but you’re not famous bro… and it’s not a good deed when you have to post about it.”

Surprisingly, the fighting fans also bashed Ryan on what he was wearing. “Your t-shirt is military green, what a shame inside a hospital”, wrote one account. Despite the ruthless bashing, many others stood in support of the BJJ fighter, applauding his helping nature. Even the 11-year-old fighter’s family thanked Ryan for the support, providing him with a note and a piece of jewelry.
