Dana White is a huge Donald Trump supporter. Their relationship is rooted in both politics and friendship, leading White to extend multiple invitations to Trump to attend UFC events. Even at the recent UFC 295, Trump made a grant entrance that turned a lot of heads. Now, White is facing a backlash from the general populace due to his allegiance to Trump.

Despite facing backlash, White has come forward to defend his friendship with Trump. While having a conversation with Theo Von on his podcast, White stated that America is a free country, and everyone should have the right to do what they desire. White said “This is America. You can have whoever you want on your podcast. You can do whatever you wanna do, and this happened to me too.”

He further added ” I posted a video for Trump. One of our big sponsors called and told me to take that down. You know what I said? Go f**k yourself. You will vote for whoever you want to vote for, and I will vote for whoever the hell I wanna vote for. This is how it works but f**k you. Don’t ever fu**ing call me and tell me who to vote for.”  This fiasco just adds to the list of disasters that White has been facing. His association with Bud Light is another reason why people called him out.

White’s Bud Light fiasco

Last month, the UFC announced a $105 million-a-year, six-year sponsorship deal with Bud Light. The beverage brand is coming back as the prime sponsor of UFC after years, replacing Modelo. Interestingly, White’s choice to shake hands with Anheuser-Busch is a rather intriguing case as the brand is facing a huge backlash from people because of their ‘Woke’ marketing.

Bud Light’s tie-up with trans activist Dylan Mulvaney back in April severely backfired, with a sharp decline in sales. White in the fiasco has only one thing to say. “You know, people are talking s**t now. ‘Sell out’ and all this sh*t they say. Believe me, I’m the furthest fu**ing thing from a sellout. Bud Light is the right move for me. They are exactly who I wanna be with right now.”
