After seizing the headlines for over a month, UFC play-by-play commentator Jon Anik finally answered back after Colby Covington put the promotion on alert with his threatening remarks.
‘Chaos’ had issued an array of perplexing statements as he took aim at Anik for the latter’s alleged biased comments. However, the American commentator assured the storm had passed after he was attacked for favoring Belal Muhammad. Not only did Covington ask Anik to drop his commentating role but even dragged his children into the fray. As a result, the supposed death threat sparked an uproar. Further, fighters such as Jorge Masvidal and Jamahal Hill jumped in to shield the fan-favorite.
However, the former ESPN anchor doesn’t seem worried about the comments and also appreciated the support the athletes showered him with.

Thus, he said, “I think you can argue he crossed the line, but I never felt particularly threatened. More so, I felt the support from Jorge Masvidal and Jamahal Hill, and a lot of other athletes, and I certainly appreciate that.”
Following this, the commentator wondered whether one needed to include someone’s kids in the feud. Despite the recently troubled equation, he revealed he and Covington had made peace and were “good”.

The Boston native also pointed out the uneasy scenario where his daughter might come across Covington’s clip and that would require a mammoth task of explanation.

Thus, he stated, “I don’t know that you need to inject anybody’s kids into the equation. And there will come a point in time on Snapchat or somewhere else where my 11-year-old daughter is going to come across that clip and there will be some explaining to do.”

“But by and large, Colby and I are good,” he added later on.
Notably, in a conversation with MMA Fighting, Covington had warned Anik he didn’t want his kids to grow up without a dad. This statement came after he had already labeled him as ‘racist’ and accused him of discrimination in the same interview.
