Last Friday, during the official weigh-in of UFC 311, MMA fans were surprised with an unexpected twist. The challenger for the lightweight belt and scheduled to star in the main fight against Islam Makhachev, Arman Tsarukyan had to be removed from the fight after suffering a back injury on the eve of the Los Angeles-based PPV. So, how does the MMA community react to it? Well, many decided to send death threats to Nina Marie Daniele instead. But why?
In a recent video uploaded on her X account, the sports presenter revealed that fans have been sending her death threats ever since Tsarukyan pulled out of the fight. According to them, the injury was received during the filming of their fight vlog. However, this is far from the truth. In the tweet, she wrote, “I had a couple death threats from mma fans after the news broke out that Arman Tsarukyan was injured. Fans accusing me saying that he was injured during the filming of our fight vlog. My phone was blowing up all day.”
She further revealed that she didn’t even respond to the texts and comments because to her, it was absolutely ridiculous that fight fans would blame her for the whole injury. Even though she wishes to defend herself, Marie Daniele believes that it doesn’t matter to the community since fight fans want to believe whatever fits their narrative about her. The MMA presenter then thanked Ariel Helwani, who asked Tsarukyan to reveal whether Nina Marie Daniele could be blamed, “Happy @arielhelwani asked this question. Appreciate it!”

Once confronted with the question, the number one ranked lightweight revealed once and for all that Nina Marie Daniele had nothing to do with his injury. While it is true that during filming, ‘Ahalkalakets’ demonstrated some intense wrestling and stretching drills, they definitely were not out of the ordinary. In fact, they are drills that he performs almost on a daily basis.

He said, “No, that thing I’m doing every day as part of my warm-up, so if I had a problem during training camp, how could I do this exercise? You know, I didn’t feel anything; I was good and ready. I was training very hard, and during the week, I had good energy and no problems. It just happened, you know.” So, there is no way that the shoot made him cause extra strain on his neck and back. Finally aware of the real story, many from the MMA community are now voicing their support for the MMA presenter. In fact, they even asked for a helping hand.
Fans seek help from Elon Musk to rescue Nina Marie Daniele
As soon as the MMA presenter uploaded the video, fans were quick to voice their concern. As Mike Tyson once said, “Social media made y’all way too comfortable with disrespecting people and not getting punched in the face for it.” This has turned out to be the truth with so many celebrities and influencers being on the receiving end of death threats. As a result, fans asked X CEO Elon Musk to find a fix to the issue and bring an end to such a nuisance. Taking to their X accounts, the fans demanded, “@elonmusk any thoughts on stopping this?” “You better take action, @elonmusk,” and “@elonmusk This is happening more and more to women on your platform. Do you plan on doing something about it?”

But if Elon Musk decides not to do something, there is another man in the eyes of MMA fans who can prove to be of assistance. Who is it? Well, it’s none other than Sean Strickland. The former UFC Middleweight Champion is really good friends with Nina Marie Daniele and has often appeared in several of her videos. So, when fans heard about the death threats, Strickland’s name popped up in their heads as a man who can take those bullies out. The fans wrote, “Seems like a task for Strickland,” “Have Sean hunt down all those internet trolls,” and “Just send Sean to deal with them!”
Many fans were simply shocked about the fact that people can send death threats to a person without there being any concrete reason behind it. The idea of Nina Marie Daniele being responsible for Arman Tsarukyan’s injury was just a baseless allegation. But unfortunately, many MMA fans crossed their limits with their tweets and DMs. Showing the MMA presenter their support, many fans shared, “Death threats from moms basements is crazy work.” “Hard to believe people would make death threats to you over a fighter’s injury.” and “Even if he did tweak his neck or back or whatever doing this… why is this your fault? These people are straight-up losers.” What do you think? Do you believe ‘Nina Drama’ had any part in Tsarukyan’s injury? Let us know in the comments.
