‘The Black Beast’ Derrick Lewis will face Curtis Blaydes in a headliner at UFC Fight Night later this Saturday. Despite fighting a dangerous heavyweight, Lewis was focused on who he would like to fight next. On a virtual media day ahead of his November 28 fight, Derrick Lewis astonished UFC fans by calling out the Notorious Conor McGregor.
It was quite bizarre considering that the duo fights almost three weight classes apart.

He said, “There’s one guy that has been talking trash with years that I want to fight. So, Conor McGregor, he’s been calling me out so I believe I need to fight him next.”
‘The Notorious’ is undoubtedly the best trash talker in the UFC and predominantly in the combat sports world. Fans are acquainted with his banter with fellow competitors and his iconic call-outs to any and everybody from the Fight Universe.
But, ‘The Black Beast’ took a jibe at the promotion’s former Double Champ. He revealed that the lightweight fighter has been calling him out for a long time now and he’s fed up with it. Despite that, the fight seems unlikely and Lewis would have to be content with battling heavyweights.

Lewis believes that a win will help him earn a title shot. Though Francis Ngannou is next in line as the number one contender, ‘The Black Beast’ feels that his dream of capturing the gold is not far-fetched.
Lewis has a ferocious knockout power and has cemented himself as the heavyweight division’s knockout king. He currently has a 24-7 record in his pro-MMA career. Apart from this, he also holds the most knockouts in the Heavyweight division of the UFC (11).
