It’s been a turbulent ride for Conor McGregor in recent times. From court battles to political backlash, the Irish MMA icon has found himself at the center of more storms than ever before. But in the middle of the chaos, a quiet moment with Dee Devlin has the internet talking. Not because of what was said, but because of what was shown.

In a recent Instagram post, the couple looked calm, carefree, and, above all, connected. Arm in arm, in a sun-soaked park, and cruising in style in McGregor’s Lamborghini, they seemed worlds away from lawsuits and politics. The caption for the post? “Aligned in the details, synced at the soul. With our foot on life’s accelerator.”

And despite the turbulences surrounding ‘The Notorious’, Dee Devlin has stood strong by his side through it all. After the Irish High Court found McGregor liable for the 2018 assault of Nikita Hand, many expected Devlin to go quiet. She did the opposite. She slammed the verdict and questioned Hand’s character on social media and came to her partner’s defense immediately.

That unwavering belief is what fans and critics keep coming back to. Of course, the “troubles” don’t end with courtrooms either. Conor McGregor’s political ambitions have sparked another kind of uproar. His plans to run for president of Ireland weren’t received with open arms.

According to a recent statement by public expenditure minister, Jack Chambers, “I think most political parties and independents completely reject his politics, his rhetoric, his divisive approach to public debate and I’m sure that will be reflected in his interview with Tucker Carlson.”

The interview in question was hosted by the Irishman at his famed ‘Black Forge Inn’ and according to McGregor, “We had a great chat with Tucker Carlson highlighting the issues Ireland is facing, Ireland’s plight, Ireland’s fight and also Ireland’s delight. It’s not all doom and gloom, and we want to keep a positive outlook and move incrementally, step by step, to a better Ireland.”

Add to that McGregor’s infamous and controversial tweets during the 2023 Dublin riots, and the storm clouds seem to be gathering over his political ambitions. And maybe that’s where Dee Devlin comes in once again. While Conor McGregor deals with the uproar surrounding his every move, Devlin’s quiet strength paints a different picture. And the latest update? A message that they’re still standing together, no matter what life throws at them.

Conor McGregor’s UFC return gets a brutal reality check from Ilia Topuria and Joe Rogan

While Conor McGregor flashes smiles from Lamborghinis and walks hand-in-hand with Dee Devlin in serene parks, the fighting world watches in silence—and maybe thinking about something. The McGregor that once raged into arenas like a storm now seems to be gliding through life with the calm of a man who’s done fighting.

Why? According to Joe Rogan on the JRE (Joe Rogan Experience) MMA Show #166, “If I had a bet, no. Because he has not come back yet. If he really wanted to, he would have been back in the gym, had a fight scheduled, drug tested, clean, training, gone through a camp, had a fight.”

The JRE host also pointed to the heartbreaking UFC 303 event, where the Irishman was set to make his long-awaited return. McGregor was slated to face Michael Chandler, but a broken toe dashed the fandom’s dreams. But as Rogan further stated, “Broken toe is like two months. And so then you are back in camp. And then you reschedule a fight and then you fight again. But he didn’t.”

Add to that the legal problems and the hard partying lifestyle that McGregor often shares on social media, Rogan made it clear that hope may be fading for his return. Ilia Topuria also chimed in adding, “With that much parties and d**gs and all that, you’re gonna have to pay that price at some point…You are paying the price with your health which is the dumbest thing you can do in your entire life.”

To wrap things up, while the Instagram photos tell us Conor McGregor and Devlin are “synced at the soul,” and moving beyond their recent trials and tribulations, the fight game may have already moved on, too. Do you think this is the end of ‘The Notorious’s fighting career? Why or why not? Let us know in the comments below!
