UFC commentator Joe Rogan has always been an advocate of Sauna baths. In a recent episode of JRE, Rogan explains the benefits of Sauna baths to Mike Baker. The entire podcast gives us an overview of how heart patients should use sauna baths to get the benefits. 

Rogan has always been into fitness and propagates a healthy lifestyle. In one of his previous Instagram videos, Rogan explained the benefits of Morozko Cold Plunge. And now in his recent JRE episode with Mike Baker, Rogan talks about how the Sauna Bath has helped him in his fitness journey. So without further ado, let’s dive right in. 

‘It’s like doing static cardio’- Joe Rogan.

While in conversation with Mike Baker, Rogan assists him in understanding the science behind Sauna Bath. Rogan is known to bring up unique topics in his podcasts. In his previous podcasts, he has taken up different issues related to health and fitness. Even previously, the UFC color commentator took up the challenge of taking ice baths. 

And now in his recent escapade, Rogan conveyed, ‘” don’t believe it is. You could probably overtax yourself in the Sauna, just like you could overtax yourself with extreme cardiovascular working out. But what the Sauna does for sure is elevate your heart rate. But what’s essentially like it’s doing static cardio. What I would say is for someone with a heart condition, definitely speak to a physician and talk to your doctor about it.”

Rogan also explained the benefits of dry sauna sessions to Bantamweight Cory Sandhagen in one of his podcasts. According to the 56-year-old, sauna sessions help reduce mortality as well. Interestingly, Rogan claimed that a study done in Norway showed that people who engaged in 20 minutes of the dry Sauna experienced a 40% reduction in mortality.

However, this is not the first time the UFC commentator has taken such extreme fitness methods. For instance, his famous Carnivore diet gathered a lot of attention on Social Media.

What is the Carnivore Diet advocated by Rogan?

Rogan first announced his experiment with a carnivore diet in January 2020. He went on a diet for 30 days, before sharing his changes on social media. Many factors drove his decision to try this unconventional diet, the most significant being his desire to explore how this diet could benefit his autoimmune condition, called vitiligo. He also sought to shed excess weight and enhance his energy and mental clarity.

Rogan has significantly reduced his weight and motivated people worldwide. Further, leveraging his million-dollar podcast, we often get a peek at unconventional therapies, with the latest being the highlights of the importance of Sauna Baths. It will be interesting to see whether his guest would take his advice and start using sauna baths.
