https://twitter.com/SugaSeanMMA/status/1634756401095639041?s=20Returning ex-UFC double champion Henry Cejudo has an interesting proposition for Dana White. After the dominant performance from Merab Dvalishvili at UFC Vegas 71, Cejudo had a few ideas for his upcoming bout at UFC 288. On May 6th in Newark, Cejudo will face current bantamweight champion Aljamain Sterling for the title. However, ‘Triple C’ has now voiced some concerns about Sterling and offered solutions of his own to the UFC president. Interestingly, his new ideas have completely left #1 ranked Sean O’Malley on the sidelines.
Merab Dvalishvili convincingly beat Petr Yan at UFC Vegas 71. The #3 ranked Georgian dominated the #2 ranked Russian over five rounds to seal a 50-45 on all scorecards. Impressed with Dvalishvili’s performance. Cejudo took to social media with a message for Dana White.

He said, “Dear Dana White, I’m over here watching the No.2 and 3 contenders and I’ve got a feeling that Aljamain is more likely to back out of this fight. So that being said, why don’t you give me Merab?”
The 35-year-old continued, “Give me Merab since Sean O’Malley wants to wait. He wants to take his time. Why don’t we make Merab the backup at UFC 288? Why don’t we do it that way?”
He further added, “That way it’s both of these training partners because I have a feeling Aljamain is going to eventually back out so I want to make sure.”
However, Sean O’Malley did not entertain Cejudo snubbing him and responded to the former Olympian on Twitter.
