Can you smell what ‘The Rock’ is cooking? Charlie Campbell sure can, especially after knocking out Alex Reyes in the first round of the fight. UFC Noche has proven wildly entertaining for fans and fighters alike. Charlie Campbell was one such fighter who made his UFC debut in grand fashion. Daniel Cormier had to interview him post-fight, and just as Campbell had caught his opponent off-guard inside the octagon, he did the same with DC.

The post-fight interview went off in an unimaginable direction, thanks to Campbell. The Bellator veteran couldn’t help but love his moment. He was beyond pumped, and it looked like he’d stepped into the cage prepared for a winning post-fight interview. The Dwayne Johnson fan surprised everyone by sending a message to his favorite wrestler turned Hollywood icon.

Charlie Campbell is a huge fan of ‘The People’s Champ,’ and it shows. He finished Reyes in the first round of their bout with a massive right hand. The fight stopped soon, and ‘The Cannibal’ was clearly in high spirits. When UFC legend Daniel Cormier came inside the cage to interview the winner, he couldn’t help but drop the iconic line that Rock fans worldwide go crazy about.

In a complete role reversal, Campbell begins by asking Daniel Cormier“What did you think about my boxing?” and just as the caster gets ready to answer the question, Campbell steals the mic back and declares: “It doesn’t matter what you think!”, a reference to ‘The Rock’s iconic line in the WWE.  The fighter continued, “Shout out to Dwayne Johnson, ‘The Rock’. I’m a huge fan. Put me in a movie or something.”

Daniel Cormier had a sly little grin as he commented: “You know I love a good WWE reference so I’mma let you live.” Fans quickly took to the comments sections and were going wild and making fun of Cormier’s make-believe threat. However, nobody expected that this incident would catch the attention of ‘The Rock’ himself. The post-fight interview managed to catch Johnson’s eyes as he commented under a post on Instagram,

“😂 Charlie did him good! 👏🏾👏🏾👊🏾🎤 DC was like “fu*k around and find out you do that sh*t again”

‘The Cannibal’ destroyed Alex Reyes when the clock hit the 3:38 mark. For the opponent, it was only his second fight after losing his first bout against Mike Perry ages ago. Having a poor start twice can be a disheartening thing, but Reyes has shown resilience once, maybe he can do it again. Meanwhile, the future seems rosy for Campbell at the moment.
