The bad blood between Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov took a dark turn recently when the Irishman laid yet another rant on his former rival. Not only did he insult ‘The Eagle’, but the former double champion used racial slurs against the man who took him to deep waters back in 2018. This seems to have irked rising welterweight star Joaquin Buckley, leading him to call out one of the Dagestan native’s former teammate for not showing any support.
Joaquin Buckley clearly had Conor McGregor in his crosshairs when he called out the former dual champion after beating Nursulton Ruziboev at UFC’s St. Louis event last year. Not just this, he even beefed with Khabib Nurmagomedov‘s teammate Daniel Cormier after the latter claimed it was the “worst callout” in his podcast with veteran Chael Sonnen. So it was no surprise that he decided to use ‘DC’ and McGregor’s names in the same sentence when calling out the Irishman’s racist slurs towards Cormier’s teammate.
“Surprise DC didn’t mention nothing about Conor calling his brother Khabib a n**** or inbred,” Jaoquin Buckley tweeted. ” I Feel like we too comfortable with anybody saying n**** now a days especially in the ufc so with that being said starting this trend back again say n****/er around me Lay hands on U.”

Surprise DC didn’t mention nothing about Conor calling his brother Khabib a nigga or inbred 🤦🏿♂️ I Feel like we too comfortable with anybody saying nigga now a days especially in the ufc so with that being said starting this trend back again say nigga/er around me
Lay hands on U🙌🏿— Joaquin New Mansa Buckley (@Newmansa94) February 3, 2025
Despite them settling their beef in a lengthy interview ahead of Buckley’s UFC 307 appearance, it seems like Cormier’s words hit ‘New Mansa’ where it hurt. Daniel Cormier essentially schooled Joaquin Buckley on the importance of respect, after the latter claimed Conor McGregor’s “mama raised a w****e.” So, it could be looked at as, Buckley didn’t like that Cormier stood up for McGregor but not his own teammate (and brother-in-arms), which could be interpreted as a double standard.

Safe to say, given Conor McGregor’s numerous antics and beefs, and his latest attack towards Khabib Nurmagomedov, he’s caught the eye of not just Joaquin Buckley. Popular YouTuber-turned-boxer, who ‘The Notorious’ has been eyeing for a boxing match along with the Paul brothers, spoke on the Irishman’s vitriolic post towards ‘The Eagle’.
YouTube star reacts to Conor McGregor’s remarks about Khabib Nurmagomedov
Conor McGregor and KSI, when they first met more than eight years ago, had a cordial relationship, but things slowly took a turn for the worse. When KSI released his song Thick of it last year, ‘The Notorious’ had this to say, “Let’s go man. I’ll fight him for that bullsh*t song he released alone. I’ll fight him for that f*****g song alone.” So when the 30-year-old YouTuber saw ‘The Notorious’ dropping N-bombs and demonizing Khabib’s family, he couldn’t help offer pity towards the sad state of affairs regarding McGregor’s recent ‘downfall’.

“What a fall from grace man. People looked up this guy [Conor McGregor] smh,” KSI wrote in a post on X. McGregor’s verbal onslaught towards his bitter rival was the result of the show of camaraderie between Paul Hughes and Team Khabib after PFL: Road to Dubai. The Irishman seemed to have lost it after Hughes’ comments “I’m not like this other guy. I’m my own man”, seemingly referring to McGregor, and launched an attack on ‘Big News’ and his northern Irish roots. It was ‘The Eagle’ who stood up for Paul Hughes by sharing an IG story with the caption, “You are a real Irishman [Paul Hughes] and not a ra***t and drug addict like this b*****d.”
The story of this rivalry is far from over, and even though we may never see the two square off again, it’s safe to say that Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov will never see eye to eye.
