Some of the critical reactions involved a comparison of the Will Smith-Chris Rock incident to the Colby Covington-Jorge Masvidal fiasco. YouTube star Jake Paul was not lagging behind in providing the world with his take.

The 25-year-old YouTuber-turned-boxer did not hold back as he took to Twitter and berated Covington. He tweeted, “Chris Rock didn’t press charges but Colby Covington did lol. Just shows how much of a p**** Colby is. Make Fighters Not Soft Again.”

Paul referred to Covington pressing charges against Masvidal after the latter attacked ‘Chaos’ outside a restaurant. He called Covington out on his courage as a fighter and compared him to Chris Rock, who was publicly humiliated and did not press charges.

The YouTube star has been taking shots against UFC fighters for a while now. Jake Paul has explicitly stated that he wants to fight UFC superstar and Colby Covington’s former friend and teammate, Jorge Masvidal, in a boxing match.

Dana – Since you like me now, how about a 1 fight UFC deal to fight Conor. If I win, you agree to my UFC fighter pay and healthcare proposal. If I lose I donate my entire purse to all UFC fighters who make less than $50K a fight and never mention UFC again Deal?”

This created a lot of media traction because this is a fight that the YouTube star could lose with utmost certainty. Conor McGregor outranks him in almost every aspect of MMA (apart from wrestling) and will be at home in the confines of the octagon.
