As of now, it is speculated that Mic͏hael Chandler and Conor McGregor are set to fight, but the details of when and where remain a mystery.͏ ͏Dana White and McGregor ha͏ve been steering the Irishman’s return, yet they are uncertain about the ͏fight’s specifics. McGregor announced that ͏he would reveal his next opponent and fight on January 1st, but the uncertainty still lingers. Chandler ͏has, so far͏, ͏agreed to whatever the UFC has proposed regarding the McGregor fight, and Daniel Cormier believes that “Iron” is taking it too far with his compliance.

McGregor and Chandler’s face-off was supposed to happen after their stints at TUF 31, however, USADA hurdles paused their clash and since then there has been no official confirmation by McGregor or the UFC about their fight. Amidst all the uncertainty, Daniel Cormier believes that Chandler is getting desperate for the fight now.

The combat sports community is eagerly waiting for the announcement about Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler’s fight, however, nothing has been made certain by the UFC admins and this seems to have made “Iron” desperate. Daniel Cormier had observed the desperation in Chandler’s behavior to make the fight happen at any cost.

While having a conversation on his YouTube channel, Cormier emphasized that Chandler had agreed on everything – “Michael Chandler has openly said he’ll fight him regardless, which doesn’t make great sense, but I get what Mike’s trying to do. This whole thing is like a soap opera.”

He further emphasizes that Chandler’s constant chasing of McGregor is not that good for the fighter, as he is making agreements based on desperation. “At every single step, he has agreed, he has said, ‘Okay,’ he has made concessions. He has almost agreed and done anything he possibly can to ensure that the fight still happens. McGregor, for his part, just keeps playing him to the left. That’s what we call that in Louisiana, playing him off. Like when a girl doesn’t like you, he just keeps playing him off like, ‘I don’t really want to deal with him.’

Daniel Cormier delved further into the saga between McGregor and Chandler, dissecting their recent interactions. Nonetheless, Cormier’s observation is right considering the fact that Chandler had accused McGregor of searching for easier fights.

Chandler accuses McGregor of seeking easier fights

Michael Chandler has recently voiced his frustration, claiming that Conor McGregor has been sidestepping a potential showdown between them and opting for opponents who present less of a challenge. Chandler has been waiting for the happening of the fight for a long and McGregor ducking him would be the last thing he would like. However “Iron” has no option but to wait for an official confirmation.

While having a conversation with On Steve-O’s Wild Ride, Chandler said that McGregor is ducking the fight. “I think right now he’s trying to wait me out. Because if you were him, would you want to delay as long as possible for someone like me, a genuine fighter eager to compete? This way, I might get frustrated and decide to fight someone else, allowing him to opt for an easier opponent like Nate Diaz.”
