Several screenshots of Jon Jones leaking the paycheck details of his fight against Stipe Miocic to a fan have been making rounds on the internet. While some do not seem to think that it was the UFC champion and that it could have been someone else pretending to be him, his former rival, Daniel Cormier, is skeptical about that. Jon Jones claims that Dana White is giving him $15 million to fight two-time champion and heavyweight GOAT, Miocic.
He even bragged about it to a fan during a DM chat, insinuating that he could very well retire, or in Jones’s words, “ride off into the sunset” after that fight. After coming across those comments, Daniel Cormier seems to have proven that ‘Bones’ is indeed the one who sent those DMs to the fan.

Jon Jones is a professional athlete having both fans and hater. So many people are wondering if it was him behind the words in the DMs when a fan named ‘Will’ on X called him out for “ducking” Tom Aspinall. But Daniel Cormier is sure that it was indeed him because he had exchanged words with the heavyweight champion in the past and the style of the messaging looked similar.
“I’m telling you right now as a guy that has exchanged direct messages with him that he wrote that. I think he wrote that,” ‘DC’ stated on his recent YouTube video. It’s a well-known fact that Jon Jones has had many mishaps outside the Octagon, be it his legal troubles, which he cannot seem to escape even now, or his multiple failed drug tests. As such, the fact that he’s going to get the whopping sum of $15 million is something that Cormier feels Jones can talk about pretty openly.
“I could be proven wrong, but my best thought is that he wrote that because that sounds like something he would write because it’s something he gets to brag about,” Daniel Cormier continued. Besides, who won’t take such a big amount of money to fight in the UFC? Fighter pay has certainly been an issue in this promotion for many fighters. Hence, ‘DC’ has no qualms with Jones choosing to fight Miocic and not Aspinall.
“If he’s making $15 million, he should fight Stipe Miocic, right?… It’s almost like asking someone to win the lottery, but say, ‘I don’t want the ticket. OF course, he’s gonna fight him if he’s making $15 million,” Cormier added. Bragging about getting $15 million isn’t the only thing he told fans because another screenshot of Jon Jones bragging about other things has come to light as well.

‘Bones’ threatens to “find” a fan
In a recent stunning revelation, Jon Jones was seen engaging with a fan again. It could have been the same X user who earlier revealed the $15 million paycheck detail, as the champion was seen yet against flexing his muscles by claiming to have friends in high places while taking shots at the fan for working a measly job. “I have friends, several billionaire friends. Friends in the biggest branches of the military. Meanwhile you make 3-D designs… probably still trying to pay off your house,” Jones stated as revealed on Reddit.
He even talked about how much money he’s made in the last five years or so, despite having legal troubles. The UFC champion went one step further by threatening to find the social media user and possibly altercate with him as well. “Telling my buddy Jeff to shush probably wasn’t a good idea, it’s not that hard to find you,” Jones added.
