“If this guy learns and understands his takedown defense. Pfft, he would be hell for anyone because he’s such a tremendous kickboxer. So I see why Khamzat says let me fight the champion six and one,” He further added.

But DC thinks that if ‘Poatan’ can learn how to defend take-downs, he’ll be a tough opponent for anyone. In fact, DC remembers trying to grab him and feeling just how strong he is. He said, “I don’t know why Khamzat Chimaev versus Robert Whittaker in a co-main event, underneath Islam versus uh Alexander Volkanovski doesn’t make ultimate sense.”

“Big wrestler that’s Rob Whitaker, former Champion Rob Whitaker.” He further added. Thus, Cormier want Chimaev to face Whittaker.
