The UFC 303 press event’s cancelation has disappointed the UFC fan base. While Conor McGregor did apologize to the eager fans, Dana White has seemingly gone silent about it. When Daniel Cormier analyzed this situation, he insinuated that McGregor’s comeback fight against Michael Chandler on June 29 might be in jeopardy. The current situation with the UFC 303 Dublin press conference is that we have no idea when it’s going to take place. We’re less than 30 days away from the fight and things seem to have gone haywire for the UFC CEO, Dana White. And Daniel Cormier recommends expecting the worst from this situation.

The $20 million gate record set all kinds of expectations that, at last, the Irish superstar is back. But in the wake of the press event’s cancelation, Dana White’s silence doesn’t shock Daniel Cormier. He also praised the 54-year-old for rarely letting fans down when it comes to these big fights. “Start to brace yourself a little bit for disappointment… Dana White will argue and scream at the media, Dana White will give the media a hard time [and] Dana White has no problem letting the media down. You know who Dana White doesn’t like letting down? The fans,” Cormier stated on the ‘Good Guy/Bad Guy’ show.

The fact that such a big event was canceled and that too in a country where UFC visits are rare, is something that Daniel Cormier pointed out to be a concerning issue. Why? Because people across the globe, and not just the Irish Masses, flew over to the Emerald Isle just to witness the biggest star in MMA.

“When the press conference was canceled, you saw people on Twitter (X), people on Instagram speaking of having their travel, being prepared to go and watch, flying over to Dublin to watch a presser. That’s disappointment. So, to me, it feels like this is a big deal,” Cormier further stated. The Hall of Famer revealed to have done some investigative work into it and the results haven’t been good.

Is the UFC 303 main event getting canceled?

Being an analyst, it would have been a surprise if Daniel Cormier hadn’t done some digging regarding this recent press event cancelation. Hence, he did what he could, talking to different executives and insiders, but there was nothing he could find that would give him a definitive answer. Cormier failed to get those people to spill the beans, and that has made him think about the worst thing that could happen to the Conor McGregor fight, and that’s getting canceled.

This could also spell disaster for Michael Chandler as he has been waiting for so long just for this one big-money fight. “I have reached out to many in the organization to try to find out what happened and when everybody’s tight-lipped as they are right now, to me, that tells me it’s a little worrisome,” Cormier added. Now, with June 29 still a long way to go, we might not need to jump to such a conclusion, but the fact is – anything can happen in MMA.
