‘The Bad Guy’ also appeared on noted MMA coverage personality Ariel Helwani’s podcast in June 2023, where he detailed the information that he had. But a lot of fans may be completely unaware of the entire scenario. Chael Sonnen claimed that Mark Zuckerberg had revealed his wish to him over a call

Most UFC fans might agree that there’s hardly a better trash talker than Sonnen in the history of the promotion. Many former UFC stars, like Tito Ortiz, have accused him of getting high-profile fights just due to his ability to sell them with his smack-talks. Well, many fans may have smelled a similar goofery when Sonnen said that the Meta CEO, ‘Zuck’ gave him a call to reveal the event where he wanted to fight Elon Musk.

It was on Ariel Helwani’s podcast, ‘The MMA Hour’, where Sonnen told the MMA community about the call between him and Zuckerberg. He said, “Zuckerberg has told me that he has agreed to fight Elon Musk at UFC 300, and it was a very big deal.”

But the myth that Sonnen was trying to propagate got busted shortly afterward. One of Zuckerberg’s representatives talked to the noted media house ‘TMZ and revealed, “I have confirmed with Mark that he did not call Chael Sonnen”.
