Dana White probably started collecting the pieces after Poirier insisted on his social media platforms that the fight was off. He even told ESPN that him and the UFC were not able to reach financial agreements. Meanwhile, a journalist by the name of Guilherme Cruz reported that Sain-Denis was out of the loop.
Dana White soon took to his Instagram to share screenshots where it appears that him and Saint-Denis reach an agreement over the fight on chat. It could just be Saint-Denis and his manager since the parties involved are cropped out in the pictures but either way, White showed that the fighter was very well aware of it all.
“You media guys are such pieces of sh*t,” White wrote in his Instagram story. Writing whatever click bait you can to be first and not right. This is why NOBODY trusts or likes you. Guilherme Cruz”. Clearly, everything went a little bit out of control. But were White’s screenshots convincing enough?

Fans react to White calling out the reporter
Dana White isn’t the type of CEO to be very kind if the promotion is falsely represented in media. Journalist Guilherme Cruz reported that Saint-Denis’ coach told him that they didn’t know about the bout before it was announced. Did White’s screenshots tell the whole story? Fans believed it wasn’t fully so.
“The texts Dana posted don’t contradict the notion that BSD didn’t know his opponent was Poirier, which is what Cruz reported”Some believed the bout wasn’t official yet.
“Even if he knew. It wasn’t signed and official so it’s still off.”“Dana deflecting on this one, regardless of this guy should not be announced until official no?”Yet others sided with him
“Dana got the receipts”
While some said White came in with all the proof, others accused him of causing a distraction.
