Sonnen, while speaking to the host, said Brendan Fitzgerald said, “One thing that we never had at an International fight week is a main event that wasn’t for the title. Now I only said. And it’s hard for me to believe that Conor is going to be anything less than a main event. But we don’t have that piece of information yet guys. When you talk about him being gone . Going up a weight class if he could find a way into a three round atmosphere. We’re not there yet I’m spreading a little speculation but we ‘ve never had an International fight week without a title up.”

UFC CEO Dana White in his post-fight UFC 300 press conference answered multiple questions, including an update on the fitness of ‘The Notorious’ one. McGregor broke his shin in his last fight against Dustin Poirier which sidelined him for a long time. However, it now seems that the Dubliner has finally recovered from it and is ready for his comeback. In his recent UFC 300 post fight conference White also shared his opinion on the injury. He said, “I think when you look at that injury, it’s happened in UFC,”.
He further added, “We just saw Chris Weidman come back, Anderson came back from it, you saw. You’ve seen it in football. It’s probably one of the nastiest injuries that you could possibly get . . . it’s a nasty injury and it’s a rough recovery too. It’s a really rough recovery.” McGregor has worked hard to get back to his fitness and will be desperate to prove his critics wrong.
