UFC Fight Night is just a few hours away, and the fans are super excited about the event. Some of the best fighters in the promotion are all set to put up a show for the fans. The main event of the night suffered a massive setback after Khamzat Chimaev pulled out of the clash in the last moments. However, the co-main fight is still intact, much to the delight of the fans.

Sergei Pavlovich and Alexander Volkov, former teammates, will now face off as rivals inside the Octagon. Pavlovich was last seen inside the Octagon at UFC 295, where he suffered a first-round loss against Tom Aspinall. Regardless, Volkov managed to win his last fight at UFC 293 and it was high on confidence. The clash has now gathered more attention after the pair confronted each other during weigh-ins.

Reddit posted a video nine hours back hinting at a confrontation between the pair. Volkov seemed a bit angry and said, “Why did you tell everyone that I was the first who agreed to this?”. Pavlovich responded to the claim and said, “I said that I would have agreed too.” However, the confrontation went a bit further and Volkov further added, “You said that you will fight only if I want to. If you said that you don’t want to fight, I would turn it down”. The fighters then had to be separated by UFC CEO Dana White just to calm things down.

Fans took notice of the entire event and have now come up with their own narrative. Let us find out what the fans had to say about the whole incident.

UFC CEO Dana White is a master of setting up exciting clashes for the UFC. However, the co-main event at UFC Fight Night is a bit different. The heavyweight clash was announced even before it was signed on paper. So how did the fighters agree to fight without any proper agreement? Fans feel it has something to do with the UFC head honcho’s tactics.

One user pointed out that the entire fight has been set up based on a lie and commented, “Dana be like “hey now don’t come to an understanding that I lied to both of you”. Before any big event, UFC CEO Dana White does his best in promoting the event. However, one user feels he also helps in instigating fights, “Dana out here not just promoting fights, but Full instigating infighting”. Both these fighters have been teammates in the past, and seeing them clash now makes one of the users worried, “This seems so awkward, both are literally from the same camp. There’s plenty of other matchups to make in HW”.

The heavyweight division is full of some exciting fighters. So why do two former teammates have to fight each other,? One user feels, “UFC did these guys dirty”. The UFC has always been in the news for having a disparity in its pay structure which forced one of the users to believe, “It’s almost as if the UFC don’t pay their fighters enough to compete with other offers”.

One more user further agreed to the comment and gave out a solution that would help the fighters in the future, “Someone needs to start am organization to bargain for the fighters… One user shared one of the most basic ideas which both fighters should have used to avoid the confrontation:” could they not just send each other a text message”

The upcoming heavyweight clash at UFC Fight Night will be a treat to watch for the fans. However, it now seems that the rivalry has taken a new direction. Has Dana White really used his tactics to get the fight? Who do you think will win the fight between the two? Let us know in the comments below.
