It seems like the feud between Dana White and Oscar De La Hoya is not going to end anytime soon. The former boxer and promoter recently mentioned the controversial incident where seemingly the UFC boss had slapped his wife. He also gave an example of how White saw him as a competition. De La Hoya reiterated how White and his wife were in a drunken feud at the Cabo San Lucas nightclub a few years back. The couple who are married for more than a decade had gotten into a fight as White had learned to tell her something in her ear. She slapped him and he retaliated back. Let’s see what De La Hoya said.

Recalling the incident and taking a jibe at the UFC CEO, De La Hoya said, “When a guy slaps his wife in public you know when his mom writes a book about him saying that he is a douche his own mom? That’s all I have to say. I don’t have to say anything more.” To this Shannon Sharpe replied, ” What’s going on with you and Dana? You guys were cool.”

The former pro boxer added, “Yeah, we were. When I first thought about getting into the MMA I just strongly felt that he just wanted to bury me. Not have competition um he started talking sh** about me. Because literally I don’t even think about it. We are in different sports he does his thing I do my thing. Just because I wanted to start a little bit of competition, he gets all ‘let me scream louder’ you know?”

The rivalry is not ending anytime soon because earlier this year, the former professional boxer had taken another jibe at the UFC CEO. With the news of Anthony Joshua fighting Francis Ngannou taking over the UFC world, De La Hoya decided to talk about MMA fighters coming into boxing.

Oscar De La Hoya insulted Dana White

De La Hoya mentioned how Dana White had claimed that there was no money or prosperity in boxing for any MMA athlete. The boxing legend then ridiculed the UFC head honcho, saying, “I heard Dana White say something about, ‘Well, these MMA fighters are not making more money in boxing’. All I could do was laugh.”

He also mentioned how some of the fighters who were under White had moved to boxing and were paid more. They received the biggest paychecks in boxing rather than in MMA. ‘Golden Boy’ praised the fighters for making the brave move and even encouraged more fighters to join the boxing world. He brought up names like UFC bantamweight champion Sean O’Malley, who’s asking to fight Gervonta Davis.

“I’m happy for them [MMA fighters]. Hey, make all the money. Come to our side of the street and make the real money,” ‘Golden Boy’ said. Francis Ngannou is an example of how things are working out for the fighter in boxing. What do you think about the incident that De La Hoya mentioned about Dana White?
