Nick Diaz has had an illustrious professional MMA career in the UFC. He holds a professional MMA record of 26-9-0 (2 NC). Having had his last fight in 2015, Diaz wants to make a remarkable comeback inside the octagon. 

Diaz last fought the former UFC middleweight champion, Anderson Silva, at UFC 183 on January 31, 2015. He put up a great fight against ‘The Spider’. However, Diaz lost the bout via a unanimous decision. Later, the bout was overturned by NSAC and declared as a no contest.

Now, Diaz is aiming for a formidable opponent to put on a great show for the fans. Recently, Brett Okamoto made an Instagram post revealing what’s next for Diaz.

Okamoto said – “NOT OFFICIAL. But UFC president Dana White tells TSN the promotion is targeting a fight between Nick Diaz and Robbie Lawler in September. All three sides have been in contact about this one for a while. Lawler wants it, per sources. If it does get made, it would be a rematch of a fight from 17 years ago…”.

Diaz and Lawler first clashed inside the octagon at UFC 47 on April 02, 2004. Diaz was stepping inside the octagon on a three-fight win streak while Lawler was coming off a spectacular unanimous decision victory in his last fight.

The pair put up a highly entertaining performance in the first round. It appeared as an evenly matched fight. However, Diaz immediately turned the tide in the second round and won the fight via KO.
