Dana White is not dismissing Conor McGregor as the next challenger for the UFC lightweight championship. The UFC President stated it is not a certainty that ‘The Notorious’ would get a title shot on his return, but he had a message for the people ruling it out completely.
In an interview with Barstool Sports’ Robbie Fox, the UFC President talked about a bunch of things, including Conor McGregor’s future.

Fox conveyed to the UFC President that he was getting backlash from the media for hinting at a title shot for ‘The Notorious‘. White clarified what led to him saying that.
“The problem is, every time I do a f**king interview, all anybody wants to ask is – Do you think Conor McGregor is going to get a title shot? Well, that’s all they f**king ask.”
White added, “Anybody who’s p*ssed off because Conor might f**king get a [title shot]. You’re a f**king idiot too. If that pisses you off, Jesus Christ!”

Conor McGregor, who is still recovering from his leg break, has hinted at a comeback as early as July. Thus, the winner of the lightweight championship bout could be next for ‘The Notorious’; Charles Oliveira and Justin Gaethje will compete for the lightweight championship at UFC 274.
Conor McGregor vs Charles Oliveira: Who wins?
Though there are no guarantees who will be the champion when ‘The Notorious’ returns to the octagon, Charles Oliveira looks to be the guy. ‘Do Bronx’ has stacked a crazy win streak in his current run.
The lightweight champion has looked unstoppable with impressive finishes over Dustin Poirier and Michael Chandler in his last two fights.

However, as good as Charles Oliveira has looked, Conor McGregor is a threat on the feet. His performance against Eddie Alvarez is still touted as one of the single best championship performances in UFC history.
So, it would be interesting to see whether ‘The Notorious’ can find the chin of Oliveira with his left hand or the champion gets in range and pulls up a submission.
