As Tom Aspinall and Curtis Blaydes answered the questions directed at them during the UFC 304 presser, a reporter turned to Dana White to ask the all-important question about where’s the championship scene moving after the interim title fight at UFC 304.

Given that Jon Jones has had just one fight in the last four years, the status of his title reign was questioned after he injured himself before UFC 295. But in the wake of Tom Aspinall’s interim title win, all fans wanted was a unification title battle between Jones and the British star. Finally, we have the confirmation.

Is the winner of Tom Aspinall vs Curtis Blaydes fighting the winner of Jon Jones vs Stipe Miocic? That was the question from one of the reporters present there and it met with a positive reply as Dana White replied, “Absolutely.” Hence, this gives fans a sigh of relief to know that Jones isn’t retiring anytime soon, and the titles will soon get unified.

Is Aspinall straying away from Jones?

Understandably, Tom Aspinall doesn’t seem to want to fight Jon Jones anymore because even when he had asked for it, he didn’t get any positive indications about that happening anytime soon. Now, Aspinall, even though he has his intentions of clashing against ‘Bones’, isn’t focusing solely on that particular fight because he doesn’t see that happening.

“It’s not gonna happen, mate. It’s not happening. I’m not bothered about it… I’m not saying that I wouldn’t like it and absolutely love that fight. I think I made it pretty obvious that that’s the fight that I wanted,” Tom Aspinall told FOX Sports recently. However, we have our confirmation now and his wish to fight Jon Jones may come true, but only after he beats Curtis Blaydes, avenging his only UFC loss in the process.
