As Conor McGregor’s return to the UFC looks confirmed, Dana White must be a happy man. Conor McGregor, after all, is the biggest crowd-puller the UFC has. He works wonders with the PPV and White must be anxiously waiting for his return. Fans must be wondering why McGregor is back to fighting despite suffering a horrific injury at 264. He is a successful businessman and a Hollywood actor now outside the UFC. How he returned, and how he was put against Michael Chandler at TUF 31, were some of the questions Dana White answered in his recent interview with Vegas Sports Talks.

White talked about a variety of topics like Power Slap, Jon Jones, and Conor McGregor. He revealed what made McGregor get back to the UFC. He also talked about Jon Jones’ comeback against Ciryl Gane.

The host of Vegas Sports Talks asked Dana White how he could convince the rich Irish brat to come back to the UFC. Dana White replied, Well you don’t, you don’t get somebody to come back if they have it. They want it or they don’t. Everybody talks that nobody gets paid in the UFC, how long Jon Jones has been out. You got to be pretty rich to sit out for three years. These guys have a lot of money and once you get to that level of money, it’s no different than the sale.”

He further said, “When we sold the company some executives took off. In life, you have to have passion for something and Conor has it.”

Dana White discussed the UFC 285 main event too. He explained that Ciryl Gane going against Jon Jones was actually a better fight than Jones vs Ngannou. Both fighters have a lot at stake.

White was all praise for Jones and said that he was only defeated by the referee once in a bizarre call and is undefeated. He called him the greatest of all times. The UFC President said he expected the fight to be a big one. He was of the opinion that people may or may not like Jon Jones, but he remains unbeaten and a top-tier athlete.
