Dana White is on top of the world, ahead of UFC 280. The UFC president has been around the media circuit and giving interviews. The 53-year-old business owner has been hyping up all the exciting fights and sharing his perspective on things. Recently, White was inquired about the losing streak of Conor McGregor, one of White’s favorite UFC fighters.

The entrepreneur claimed money could be the culprit behind his downfall. Not sure how The Irishman would react to this wild take from the boss after he returns.

Dana White accuses Conor McGregor of slowing down because of the money

Conor McGregor is a former two-division champion in the UFC. The Irishman has many records on his belt and is certainly one of the most successful fighters in the UFC. McGregor and UFC president Dana White are also good pals, but not just because of the money.

White asks himself “Why do i love Conor? Why…?” “Because he makes money? Everybody makes money…” and explains it was McGregor’s courage and determination. “I walk into his house he rented in Vegas, tell him the fight was switched…” and adds “Conor McGregor…” “Never Flinched. Never Hesitated to take any fight.” The businessman reveals when most fighters missed opportunities, McGregor was always ready to pounce on them.

The UFC president sensationally blames the insane wealth of The Notorious, which led him to become slower.

“That’s what happens when you’re his age and you make over 100 million dollars…”

Conor McGregor is on a bad run, considering the standards he has previously set. The Notorious hasn’t really been the same since his loss to Floyd Mayweather in boxing. Since then, he lost to Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 229 and twice to Dustin Poirier. In between, the fighter has managed to pick up a win against Donald Cerrone at UFC 246.

The Irishman has been away from the fighting business for over a year now, after suffering a leg injury in his last fight against Poirier. Conor has made plans to return to the Octagon sooner than later. But, whenever he returns, he’s going to want to prove the UFC president wrong about his assumptions.
