Joe Rogan broke the internet yet again with his JRE episode featuring Donald Trump days before the presidential election. The JRE podcast host, of course, had previously been very against having the former President on his show since he didn’t want to “help him” in any way. But the UFC commentator changed his mind recently and had an extensive three-hour interview with the Republican Presidential candidate.
Unsurprisingly, no one is happier at this than UFC CEO Dana White, who is very good friends with both Rogan and Trump. White joined comedian Russel Brand on his YouTube channel, where he commended Rogan for inviting both Trump and his opponent Kamala Harris on his podcast. “Joe Rogan is definitely leading the charge in that world [alternative media world] right now. And it’s one of the beautiful things about Joe. I mean even with the Trump thing, he invited Trump and Kamala both on his show, not showing favoritism toward either one of them,” the head honcho said.
Harris’s team was also in talks to go on JRE weeks before the election, but ultimately the Democratic Presidential nominee skipped the podcast, reportedly because of scheduling issues. However, Dana White feels there is a very different reason behind Harris’ refusal to go on Rogan.

“And even recently when, you know, they put all the demands on her, the reason that Kamala won’t do his show is because Kamala Harris cannot speak without a teleprompter and that’s a bad environment for her,” White continued. The UFC CEO, of course, is not a fan of Harris and has taken shots at her ability to speak impromptu. And since the Rogan podcast has a casual, hang-out-type vibe, White speculated she wouldn’t have been too comfortable there.

Anytime you put her in front of a camera, it’s a bad environment. So I knew she wouldn’t take the offer to do the show. But I actually think she’s crazy not to because Joe Rogan isn’t one of those guys that’s going to come out and attack her and try to make her look bad. She can do that on her own,” he added. However, if you ask Kamala Harris supporters, they give very different reasons for why she didn’t go on JRE.
Harris’s camp gives a different reason for skipping Joe Rogan’s podcast
Dana White was instrumental in getting Joe Rogan to have Donald Trump on his podcast, which remains a powerhouse when it comes to catering to a young male demographic which is exactly what the business mogul was targeting. The UFC CEO confessed in the interview that he ‘pushed hard’ to make it happen.

On the other hand, while it is not known why Harris didn’t appear on JRE, there are a few theories people sympathetic to her have given. After all, if she wanted to go on Rogan’s podcast, she probably could have found time for a shorter interview than Trump’s three-hour marathon appearance.
Some feel that the opportunity cost for Harris doing Rogan’s podcast could have been too high. After all, since the election is likely to come down to a handful of swing states, it would be better for her to try to talk to her support base (to ensure they get out to vote) and undecided voters (to try and win their support) in those states rather than spend her time trying to dent Trump chances.
