At the 2024 RNC, the UFC boss held the honor of introducing the former president before his speech and shared an interesting detail behind his appearance at the convention. White recalled how Trump had called him two weeks prior, asking him if he’d be willing to speak at the event. The UFC head honcho stated, “As usual, there was no pressure, no demands. He asked me as a friend and, of course, I said yes.”

After White accepted, he revealed that Trump sent him a sincere text message by stating, “I just wanna read to you a little piece of what president Trump wrote to me. Dana, I’m so honored that you will be doing the introduction at the National Republican Convention. Think of it as the biggest fight you ever had, a fight for our country and even the world.”

The UFC head honcho then took the time to highlight the fact that despite the high stakes of a presidential election, Donald Trump took the time to show his concern for interrupting White’s family trip that coincided with the RNC. “That’s the president Trump that I know. A man who truly cares about people”, White affirmed.
