Is Dana White truly a better choice than family to introduce Trump at a political rally?

It truly was a special day for the fans of the Joe Rogan Experience this Friday. Finally, ex-President of the United States, Donald Trump, appeared on Joe Rogan’s show right ahead of the November elections. It truly was an interesting episode as the duo talked about major issues such as taxes while also keeping things light by adding mixed martial arts into the blend. However, one moment truly shined for fans of the UFC when the Republican candidate shared his views on the UFC head honcho and his close friend, Dana White.

Speaking to Rogan about the UFC boss, the ex-POTUS claimed that despite knowing many celebrities and major businessmen in his life, he feels Dana White is truly the greatest of them all. In fact, he personally chose the MMA promoter over his own family for an important task during the election. So what was the task you may ask? Well, it was none other than giving the introductory speech at an election rally.

On the podcast, Trump revealed that as he geared up for the Republican National Convention, he specifically wanted Dana White to give the introductory speech. It is almost unheard of since it’s unusual for a presidential nominee not to be introduced by a spouse or family member. Back in 2016 and 2021, it was Melania Trump and Ivanka Trump who introduced Donald Trump.

He revealed to Joe Rogan on JRE #2219 that, “He’s also the greatest guy. He spoke at my at the whole thing with, you know, I had just been shot, and he got up, and he spoke so better than anybody. I mean, who would be better to introduce you? I asked of all the people, and I know the biggest people in the world, and they all would have loved to have done it. I said, “Dana, would you do it?” However, the moment Trump asked Dana White for the favor, the UFC boss was unfortunately away with his family. But being the close friend that he is, he decided to take Trump.

The ex-POTUS added, “It was interesting. He was away, and he said to the people that, you know, one of my guys called and said, “I won’t be able to do it. I’m… I just left with my wife and family.” He continued, “And then I said, “All right, let’s…” and so we’re looking at who we’re going to get, and all of a sudden, she comes in, “Sir, Dana White just said he’s going to do it, and he’s coming back in tonight.” He’s taking, you know, the guy is just an incredible guy, and he’s like a tough champion but loyal. Yeah, he’s got to be one of your favorite people. He’s one of my favorite.”

Well, White truly delivered on his promise and gave a great speech at the convention. And now, he has become a part of another major event in the former President’s election campaign as he and other tycoons of their respective industries join to attend the closing campaign event by Donald Trump at New York’s iconic Madison Square Garden.
