Dana White seems to have a soft spot for Frank Mir’s daughter, Bella Mir. And rightfully so. Being the daughter of a former 2-time UFC heavyweight champion, ‘Lady’ has already made a giant stance in the professional MMA realm as a flyweight contender. With 3 wins and no losses in her MMA career, Mir also took to grappling and won her bout at Fury Pro Grappling 12 with an armbar in the first round against Gabrielle Best. And now, ‘Lady’ has won her bout in the US Open with a clutch 4-point move. Needless to say, she made White proud!

Previously in 2023, when White stumbled across an Instagram reel about Mir’s workout, he was truly impressed. Taking to his IG Story, the UFC head honcho claimed, “[Mir] is a little BAD A–!!! 120lbs and she is TINY. Incredible athlete.” And now, as she made it to the finals for the US Open grappling championship 2025, White’s joy seemed to know no bounds.

The 55-year-old UFC bossman took to Instagram and shared a reel, showing Mir’s crazy victory at the US Open 2025. In the caption, White wrote, “[Bella Mir] with this 4 point move goes to the 65kg finals of the 2025 US Open. Congrats Bella!!!!!” But White wasn’t done! He also shared the news with the world through his Instagram Story. Sharing the reel on his Story, the UFC CEO captioned, “Congrats [Bella Mir]! US Open finals.”

It’s indeed a huge achievement for the 22-year-old mixed martial artist and professional grappler. But do you know what brought White and Mir so close? Well, it does stem from a deal that made ‘Lady’ the first NIL ambassador for the UFC. Let’s see what White had to say about it.

Dana White makes Bella Mir the first NIL ambassador

Back in January 2023, when Mir was in her freshman year at the University of Iowa, White extended a deal to get her in the UFC as an ambassador. And gladly, she accepted it. Weighing in on this, White said, “Bella was destined to become a member of the UFC family her entire life, and I’m proud that she’s making history as our first NIL ambassador in one of the best programs at the University of Iowa.”

Well, Mir was already a four-time state high school wrestling champion. She had won BJJ tournaments and 3 professional MMA fights even before she turned 19. The UFC CEO continued, “Bella is an incredible role model for young women who are not only looking to get into sports, but also pursue their dreams. She’s on another level, and we can’t wait to see what she does next.”
