Is UFC judging becoming a joke, or are fighters like Aldo just not getting fair treatment?

If you thought that only Conor McGregor sounded off about the judge’s verdict regarding the Mario Bautista and Jose Aldo fight, you’d be wrong; Dana White seems to carry a similar sentiment. While addressing the media in the post-fight press conference, the UFC CEO had only one word to describe how things went down with the judging – ‘atrocious’.

“I thought the judging was atrocious tonight. I will just leave it at that. It was atrocious,” Dana White stated. Meanwhile, Conor McGregor has chimed claiming that the decision of the Jose Aldo vs Mario Bautista fight was “bulls—,” asking referees to take swift action when someone tries to hold their opponent against the fence.

However, Dana White didn’t just stop there. He was even disappointed with the referee Dave Seljestad, hoping that he should have been more active and should have tried to take control of the bantamweight clash to prevent stalling. “I always think that the referee should be active on that. A 100 percent, especially when somebody keeps doing it to stall,” White further stated.

“That was Jose’s story. Bulls–t decision… This sport is the fans sport. Remember this and act accordingly referees, going forward, thank you,” Conor McGregor tweeted as he watched the PPV from the comfort of his house. Well, it is safe to say that Mario Bautista did not get any bonuses for his scrappy win, but he did issue a response, not to Dana White, but to the comments from McGregor following his win.

Mario Bautista responds to Conor as Dana White expresses disappointment with the judges

Despite having one of the most heated rivalries ever, Conor McGregor still hailed Jose Aldo as the real winner of the fight, judging by the aforementioned comments. That didn’t seem to sink well with Mario Bautista. The 31-year-old didn’t mince any words when he offered his response to McGregor, demanding that the Irishman keep his mouth shut and focus on making it to his own fight against Michael Chandler.

“Conor can kiss my a– and he can fight whenever he’s supposed to take the fight against [Michael] Chandler. Shut up,” Mario Bautista stated on the post-fight pressers. As we all know, Conor McGregor doesn’t take these clap-back comments all too well. So the question here is if he’s going to get on Bautista’s case with a response to these comments on social like he usually does. We’ll have to wait and see.
