Does Dana White's attitude towards fans and PFL reflect strength or arrogance?

The UFC head honcho, Dana White, has a habit of announcing the upcoming fight cards on social media. Needless to say, he did the same when the date for UFC 307 inched closer than ever. White took to Instagram and tried to raise the hype around the main event and the co-main event. But little did he know that the act would earn him a bit of backlash from the fighting community.

The UFC CEO began the announcement with his iconic “What’s up everybody?” and announced the title fight between Alex Pereira and Khalil Rountree Jr., and the one between Raquel Pennington and Julianna Pena. Being one of the most celebrated fighters in the UFC, these 4 names had the power to attract quite a bit of attention to Delta Center, Salt Lake City, on the 5th of October, 2024. However, one of the fight fans decided to throw some shade at the UFC boss and compare the UFC with the Professional Fighting League.

But the comment did have some advice hidden in it. In the comments section, the fan wrote, “please fix your promotion and the way you announce fights. no reason the PFL should have better promo than the premier MMA company in the world.”

But Dana White wasn’t in the mood for an online scuffle. Instead, he found the comment hilarious. The UFC head honcho was left with no choice but to respond to the comment. And guess what he wrote. Most men would have begun defending themselves, but White isn’t most men. He typed in, “LMFAO!!!!!!”

Regardless, the announcement was appreciated by a lot of other fight fans. The list even had Mark Coleman’s name on it. But what exactly did the UFC bossman announce about UFC 307 in the video? Let’s find out!

Have an interesting take?

The world of mixed martial arts has been waiting eagerly to watch Alex Pereira grace the Octagon once again. This time, it’s going to be a title defense against Khalil Rountree Jr. During the announcement, White said, “The main event, former middleweight champion and current light heavyweight champ, Alex Pereira, looks to defend his belt for the third time in 6 months. He faces 8th-rank Khalil Rountree. Rountree is on a 5-fight win streak with 4 of those coming by finishes.”

Thereafter, White created a bit of intrigue around the co-main event, which will feature Julianna Peña and Raquel Pennington. A fight between the former bantamweight champion and the reigning bantamweight queen is something that the MMA realm will surely enjoy. And all that the fighting community needs to do, is wait and “see who takes home the belt.”

The UFC CEO went on to remind the world that the early prelims would be available on Fight Pass, while the prelims and the main card would be on ESPN+. He then proceeded to talk about a few other fights that many might not have known about. No doubt, the excitement was palpable in the comments section.
