The UFC Fight Night went wild and there’s no other way of putting it. Everything from the preliminary cards to the main card was entertaining. Beneil Dariush got knocked out in the first round and so did Bobby Green. Fans knew they were in for a ride when they bought the tickets.
Dana White took to his stories and thanked the fans for their love. “Thank you Texas,” he wrote. “Gate-$2.45 million attendance-14,485 (sold out) highest grossing sports event at Moody Center UFC’s highest US Fight Night Gate”. He also told the press that because of such a great card, all the fighters on it got a bonus.
“We gave eight bonuses for finishes,” said White in the post-event press conference. “Half a million dollars tonight in bonuses for everybody,” he said confirming everyone on the card got a Fight of the Night bonus. Do you think all the fighters deserved it?
The event was certainly a massive hit. However, one victory certainly brought about a lot of ruckus for the UFC. That was Jalin Turner’s victory over Bobby Green. Why? Because Turner knocked out Green in the first round but he wasn’t stopped from the ground and pound soon enough.

Fans didn’t forgive the ref
The referee Kerry Hatley was accused of a late stoppage. And for many it was true. Bobby Green had been struck down but the ground and pound wasn’t stopped until it looked like he had passed out. His head went limp and his eyes had closed by the time the ref stopped Turner.

Even Turner felt apologetic towards Green but he had to do his job. He couldn’t just have gotten off his opponent without being stopped. Even other fighters had to step in calling it an extremely late and unsafe stoppage. What did you think about the whole ordeal?
