The UFC 306 pay-per-view was a blockbuster of an event and delivered in every way possible. Two new champions and a spectacular visual presentation from Dana White and Co. have Joe Rogan and the fans wanting more. But the sad news is, the UFC CEO isn’t changing his stance about this being a one-and-done event after he doubled down on it during the post-fight pressers.
Joe Rogan was mesmerized when he entered the Sphere, complimenting the work that Dana White put in and the capabilities of the whole structure. However, the UFC CEO is not sold on doing this again, especially because of his business deal with MGM. “No [not coming back for another UFC event at the Sphere]. I’m under contract with MGM,” Dana White stated during the post-fight press conference.
Judging by the UFC boss’s expression, it was clear that the man was satisfied with the outcome of his project. The 10-fight card already smashed the UFC’s gate record, and guess what? It’s also the highest-grossing event in the short history of the Sphere.

“This thing, I told you guys, leading up to this, the way that this whole thing played out, tonight was meant to happen. So, it happened, we did it, we killed it,” Dana White added. However, fans on social media aren’t done with watching UFC fights inside the Sphere as they voiced their opinions on social media.
Fans demand more UFC fights at the Sphere despite Dana White’s rejection
The speculations that Dana White was struggling to sell tickets fell flat on its face. The fans in the arena certainly enjoyed the viewing experience, but interestingly, they also claimed that it was a great viewing experience, even from the comfort of their homes. “Was incredible at home too, pretty remarkable broadcast. 10/10 worth it,” a fan stated on X. They believe that the cost to make the Las Vegas structure was justified. “A 2.3 billion dollar work of art indeed,” another fan stated.

The Sphere was everything they promised us it’d be. It was awesome. Would be a travesty to never do this again. https://t.co/k3asjg9OaA

Dana White was adamantly claiming that he’ll successfully pull off his love letter to the Mexican people, and fans think it delivered on all grounds. Hence, the only logical step for them is for the CEO to do it again. “The Sphere was everything they promised us it’d be. It was awesome. Would be a travesty to never do this again,” a fan commented in that regard. Even tech billionaire Elon Musk couldn’t stop from claiming how special of a venue the Sphere really is when he came across UFC’s promo package for the event. “The Sphere is a work of art,” said the Tesla CEO.

The only issue that most fans had was with the fight card. They claimed, “Took 6 months to finish the card tho,” and “Was a brutal main card to watch. Co main and main snooze fests and I was pretty excited for both of them,” highlighting the core drawbacks of the event. The same thing was echoed by another X user, who claimed that the visuals were “amazing” at UFC 306, but it had “0 atmosphere,” when it came to the fights.
