Former UFC champion Jamahal Hill recently made headlines for some not-so-pleasant reasons. According to recent reports, Hill was charged with aggravated domestic violence and arrested for the same. The victim, reportedly, was his brother James Anthony Hill Jr. The event came to light very recently and questions have been raised about Hill’s return.
Obviously, the fighter has some issues to sift through before he can return to the Octagon. After UFC Fight Night Austin, Dana White was asked about the fighter’s future and he had a few words to offer for it. Here’s all White said and more about the incident as well.

White has mostly not been able to address the issue with Hill until now. The arrest is a controversial topic and without a trial, nothing can be reported other than allegations. Hill has maintained his innocence, and it looks like White wants to stay out of the whole thing himself.
“I know nothing about it,” said White in a press conference. “I literally don’t know anything. Obviously, it’s something between him and his brother. That’s some family sh*t and I’m sure they’ll figure that out.” Dana White is not very close to the whole incident. So he couldn’t comment on Hill’s return anytime soon.
Hill’s manager Brian Butler took to X to protest his client’s innocence. He called all the headlines a “click bait” tactic to attract views and that his client had insisted on zero wrongdoings on Hill’s part. “Jamahal adamantly maintains his innocence and denies the false accusations. We will not be commenting anymore about this until the truth comes out in court.”
Hill had planned on going for the light heavyweight champion after he recovered from his injury. He’d gotten his Achilles tendon injured thanks to a basketball game. The 32-year-old had to go into surgery to recover. Now, with the charges, his return might be stalled further.

When was he expected to return?
Jamahal Hill had expected himself to make a return in 2024. The injury has been healing and his recovery was well underway. He was the reigning champion when it happened and ended up vacating the title. The title now belongs to Alex Pereira who rightfully earned it after defeating a freshly returned Jiri Prochazka.

Will Hill come back soon? It’s unknown still. He has allegedly caused serious injuries to his brother. He was initially booked at Kent County Jail and was later released from custody. A court trial is yet to take place and things would become more clear only then. When do you think he’ll come back? Let us know in the comments.
