UFC fans love Donald Trump. Trump may be the most polarizing figure in US politics, but he is beloved among the world’s largest MMA promotions’ fans. In all of his appearances at UFC events, the former president has been met with raucous applause and appreciation.

And Trump seemingly loves the UFC too. Despite the presidential primary season being in full swing, Trump has found time to make appearances at two consecutive UFC events over the past two months alone. It is understandable, therefore, that the promotion would go out of its way to make the former reality TV star comfortable and safe. And Dana White revealed that a prominent Twitch streamer was banned to protect Trump.

Dana White was asked by a reporter in the UFC 296 post-fight press conference why the Twitch streamer N3on had been banned from attending the event. White revealed that this was due to the streamer’s comments prior to the fight. N3on had told fans in a live stream before the event that he would try and confront Donald Trump at the UFC 296 card. The streamer had bought tickets for the event, and as he pulled up to the T-Mobile Arena, he was told he could not attend the event.

This, according to the UFC CEO, was the reason N3on was denied entry to the UFC 296. White and Trump share a deep and abiding friendship. The Las Vegas resident has credited the former President for helping the promotion when it was struggling for survival and he is one of the most strident Trump supporters.

And White seemed incensed at the streamer for wanting to disrespect Trump at the UFC event and was glad he wasn’t able to succeed in his plan. In typical Dana White fashion, the UFC boss concluded by making fun of N3on for being vertically challenged.

“No what happened is he [Neon] said some stupid sh** on Instagram. And you know he bought tickets so he wasn’t anywhere close. When you start saying stupid sh** like that yeah you’re probably going to get busted up and thrown out of here, you know making threats and talking dumb sh**, looking for clout. I don’t care what he said. Well he wasn’t able to [confront Trump]. He’s this fu*ing tall too you know that fu*ing punk,” Dana White told reporters at the UFC 296 post-fight press conference. And in the same press conference, Colby Covington blamed his loss on the former president.

Colby Covington thinks he lost UFC 296 decision because he is a Trump supporter

One of the main reasons Donald Trump was at UFC 296 was to support Colby Covington. ‘Chaos’ is a fervent Trump supporter and had even requested him to be part of his walk-out against Leon Edwards. Surprisingly, the former President agreed to the proposition before Dana White refused citing logistical challenges.

And after his disappointing performance against Edwards, which saw him lose a unanimous decision to the Englishman, the 35-year-old claimed his support for Trump caused the judges to award the decision to Edwards. However, given his UFC 296 showing against Edwards, people are finding it hard to believe him.
